Donate a bicycle, tools, or parts
R Community Bikes (RCB) accepts any and all types of bikes, both children’s and adult. We will also gladly accept bike parts, tools and other cycling items such as bells, locks, lights, baskets, bags, trailers, and car racks. We can’t accept helmets for liability reasons and we have not been able to find a home for donated cycling shoes. Bikes with special value will be evaluated and possibly sold, with the proceeds going directly back into the program to purchase parts, supplies and tools, thus enabling our work to continue. Receipts are available upon request.
Bike Drop-off: Donated bicycles and parts can be dropped off at our main location, located at 226 Hudson Avenue when we're open. Go to the large garage door on Woodbury St. (north side of building) and ring the doorbell.
Bike Pickup: In some cases, we may be able to arrange to have your bicycle picked up from your home. If you need a pickup, please contact us at bike.pickups@rcommunitybikes.net or call us at (585) 234-2008, option 4. Please provide us with your name, address, phone number, and what you’d like to donate. If you’re donating bikes, please tell us how many and if they’re for kids or adults. Someone will contact you within a few days to arrange a pickup.
Financial Donations
We are always in need of money to fund our activities and programs. R Community Bikes is a federally recognized, 501(c)3 charitable organization and, as such, donations are tax deductible as far as the law allows.
